Yew Tee CC Badminton: Classes At Yew Tee Community Club

Yew Tee CC badminton classes bring coached play to a community club in the north-west, a short trip for many families in Yew Tee and Choa Chu Kang. Here you will find where the club sits, the classes our coaches hold there, how a court is arranged for you, and what to pack for your first session.

Our coaches hold badminton classes at Yew Tee Community Club, inside Yew Tee Community Building at 20 Choa Chu Kang Street 52 in Singapore 689286. Children and adults can learn in a group, one-to-one or as a pair. Sessions start from as early as 8am every day and usually last 2 hours.

Yew Tee CC occupies the first floor of Yew Tee Community Building on Choa Chu Kang Street 52. Its onePA listing shows badminton courts and a table tennis room, and notes wheelchair accessibility.
The club is run by the People’s Association, like every community club in Singapore. For residents of Yew Tee, Choa Chu Kang and Limbang, it means a coached session on a court in their own estate.
Most of our students at the club are newcomers to the sport or social players who want sound technique. Our team of professional and qualified coaches adjusts each class to the level of the players on court.
Classes take place on weekdays and weekends. You choose between learning with others in a group, having a coach to yourself, or training with one partner.

Young players begin with how to hold the racket, how to stand ready and how to move towards the shuttle. Short games follow, so each child gets plenty of hits in every session.
Our kids badminton lessons build these habits step by step. Weekend Yew Tee CC badminton classes sit well around the school week for many families.
Adults come to us for exercise, to pick up the game they played at school, or to join friends who already play. Our adult badminton lessons start with grip, footwork and the serve.
Once those feel natural, the coach brings in clears, lifts and drops. Rallies then link the strokes together at a pace that suits you.

With private badminton lessons, the coach works on your strokes alone for the full session. It is the quickest way to fix a habit or prepare for social games.
Pair coaching puts two players with one coach, which suits parents and children, couples and friends. Partners often go on to play doubles together.
Community club courts are booked on onePA, the People’s Association portal. Our badminton court booking guide sets out how bookings work at community clubs and ActiveSG halls.
When you enquire, we look for a group class already running that fits your level and time. If a separate slot suits you better, we help arrange a court for your lessons at Yew Tee CC.
Every session opens with a warm-up and movement drills to loosen the legs and shoulders. The middle part works on one or two strokes, with the coach feeding shuttles and correcting your form.
The last part is game play, where our coaches call out the score and explain the rules. You leave each Yew Tee CC badminton session with skills you have already used in a real rally.
Indoor court shoes with non-marking soles protect your ankles and the floor. Add loose sportswear, a towel and a full water bottle.
Bring your own racket if you have one. Arrive ten minutes before the start, so the session begins on time.
Families nearby can also read our page on badminton lessons in Yew Tee, which covers the wider estate. Our classes also run at ActiveSG sport halls and other community club halls across Singapore.
WhatsApp us with your age or your child’s age, playing level, preferred time and preferred location. We will reply with a Yew Tee CC class you can join or a court we can arrange for your lessons.

Besides Yew Tee CC, our coaches teach at Eunos CC in the east, Thomson CC and Fernvale, so players who move house or work elsewhere can keep training at a community club close to them.
Classes are led by our team of professional and qualified coaches. They are former competitive players with a combined coaching experience of close to 30 years, and they coach both children and adults.
